We are passionate about the ancient teachings of Freemasonry. The first step of your new endeavor should not be taken lightly. The Fraternity does not replace your duties that you owe to your country, faith, family or employment. We will however, add to you morally and intellectually. Freemasonry is a lifelong study and you should only proceed past this step if you have the will and commitment to improve yourself for the years to come.

If you have taken the initiative to learn more and requested more information, a member of the Fraternity will contact you and schedule a time for you to come to the lodge. This is the time for you to ask us any questions and for us to understand your goals. If you request a petition, you may complete it at this time. You must be at least 18 years of age and reside in Tennessee to continue past this step. Business casual or business professional attire is appropriate.

The petition has been completed and given to the Secretary. Two brothers from our lodge vouched for you. The lodge will decide if you are a good candidate and if allowed, the background investigation will begin.
Your references will be contacted. To be further considered you must consent to a criminal background check. Honesty is paramount and the results must be approved by the lodge before proceeding.

Contingent on the results of the background investigation, a Mentor will be assigned to you and will contact you to schedule the time and date for you to start your new path! As you apply yourself at Burlington, you may receive an offer to become a part of the leadership team as an officer within the fraternity. If offered this distinguished position, you will attend officer and leadership training. The lessons learned in this training and experience will directly correlate to your life outside of the fraternity.
